The Argia Collective designs and runs artistic, cultural and social photographic projects, rooted in the Basque Country and open to the world.
Through exhibitions, talks, workshops and collaborations, the collective offers spaces for exchange and expression, where photography becomes a language to show the world and bring perspectives together.
Each project opens a dialogue between images, places and audiences, celebrating the uniqueness of each perspective and each story.
Argia is built as a space for collaboration, bringing together photography enthusiasts, amateurs and professionals alike, driven by the same desire: to tell the story of the world and bring perspectives together. The name Argia, which means «light» in Basque, reflects this wish to shed light on new perspectives and to encourage dialogue between artists and audiences.
Through exhibitions, screenings, workshops and talks, the Three Crowns Festival celebrates contemporary photography as a living practice in constant motion.
The Argia Collective invites the public to think about photography past, present and future: a way of sharing, passing on and connecting, through a programme of emerging and established photographers.
The collective organises photography exhibitions, hosts themed talks and brings different perspectives and disciplines into dialogue.
The Argia photography collective develops artist residency projects, welcoming photographers to support the creation and production of photographic work.
The collective raises awareness of photography and its issues by developing educational projects with schools.
